There seems to be an app for just about everything these days, anything from FatBooth -- an app that photoshops your selfies to make you look chubby, to GoodRX, which allows you to check prices of different prescription medicines.

Here are 5 apps we think every senior should have on their device:

1. Red Panic Button. This app is like life alert, but you don't have to wear the flashy button. When you press the big red button from your device an SOS message goes out to a designated list of people immediately along with your current address.

2. WordBrain. This app is completely free and gives you multiple word puzzles to work through. The puzzles start out easy and then get real tough! An excellent way to pass time while you're in self-isolation.

3. Life360. This app uses GPS tracking technology to let specified contacts know where you are -- an excellent way to let your family know that you've arrived somewhere safely. Using this app you can keep tabs on the whereabouts of all your devices, including your spouses!

4. Audubon. For all the birders out there this app is for you and it is completely free! This app uses GPS technology so you can log all the birds you see and where you see them. You can also input information on a bird you saw to get an identification. One of the coolest features of this app though, is that you can explore the most recent bird sightings around your location!

5. Senior Savings. A cool part about being old is that you get a bunch of discounts. Senior Savings tells you which stores, hotels, and restaurants offer senior citizens discounts in your area.
